Where should I park and how much does parking cost?

There is a limited amount of metered parking around the George R. Brown. There are also a number of lots that you can pay to park in. Please see this map to view locations of the parking lots.

I’d like to get information about weather safety and preparedness to distribute to my organization, how do I get it?

We are normally able to provide printed materials, but we cannot guarantee that all requests will be fulfilled. Please send a detailed request to the expo planning committee including the quantity needed, where to send and when it is needed by. Click here to submit your request via email.

I’d like a speaker to come to my organization to give a presentation on hurricane safety, how do I set that up?

Dependent upon availability, we try to accommodate requests for speakers. Please send a detailed request to the workshop planning committee including what group you represent, when your presentation is taking place, and where the presentation will be held. What does the free lunch consist of?

The free lunch the Hurricane Workshop provides to the first 1,500 attendees includes a hot dog, a bag of chips and a bottle of water. We cannot make any changes to this, and it will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis. 

Will the event be wheelchair accessible?

Yes. We will also be able to provide power for any individuals with functional or access needs (i.e. a motorized wheelchair that may need to be charged).

Will there be translation for non-English speakers and the hearing impaired?

Yes, there will be translation devices available for Spanish speakers for all presentations being given on the main stage. There will also be an ASL translator present.

If I am not able to attend the expo, can I access the presentation videos online?

How do I get media credentials for the event?
